Subang Jaya SS14 residents let their hair down during carnival
THE residents of
SS14 had a
fun-filled afternoon
at the carnival
organised by the
Subang Jaya SS14
Owners and Residents
Association last
week.
There were games and
activities for the
residents to take
part in besides
visiting the booths
which provided food
and items at a good
bargain.
Two fire engines were parked next to the basketball court, which had been transformed into a playground.
Under the guidance of firemen from the fire station at SS17, children and teenagers could not resist climbing up and down the vehicles, while some adults took a closer look at the interior.
The children also had a splashing time when they were given the chance to hold the water hose.
Subang Jaya Medical Centre also provided free medical check-ups. Consul-tations with a doctor and a dietician were available.
The Milo van, which distributed free Milo drinks, was yet another popular target with both adults and children.
A lively bhangra dance by D. Bolly Rockers and a lion dance performance by an all-Indian troupe, dubbed Bob Catz Muhibah, entertained the residents .
Organising chairman-cum-residents association honorary secretary S.K. Kulasingam said this was the fourth carnival organised by the association.
“The main idea is
to bring the
residents and house
owners together,”
said the SS14
resident of 12
years, adding that
the association has
437 members.
Present to open the
event was former
Kelana Jaya MP Loh
Seng Kok.
