One-day bowling championship in the spirit of Merdeka
The one-day competition is unique as it is for residents associations, rukun tetangga sectors, parent-teacher associations and community-related societies in Petaling.
Network Foods Malaysia, distributors of M150 energy drinks and Tudor Gold chocolates and Sunway Pyramid have come forward to support the event.

PDTBA president Loh Seng Kok said the championships was in the spirit of Merdeka.
“We want all the social and community organisations in Petaling to get together for a sporting event. We picked bowling as it was popular among residents in Petaling.
“It will be a team event and we encourage people from the different races to be involved in the competition,’’ said Loh after receiving sponsorship pledges from Network Foods general manager Ho Peng Khoon.
Ho said they were pleased to part of the bowling championships.
“The sponsorship is part of our Community Social Responsibility programme. We hope the participants will have a good time,’’ said Ho.
The organisers are expecting a maximum 48 teams. Each team will have four players. Each bowler will play three games only.
Prizes will be given to the top 10 teams. There will also be prizes for the best individuals in the men’s and women’s categories.
